Dr Davi Trindade

Davi Trindade is a Brazilian national. He holds a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Technology – Paraná (UTFPR). He is currently the director of ANTARES, a leading Brazilian company in environmental technology development, recognized with major national environmental awards, including the American Chamber of Commerce Award (2012), FIESP Environmental Award (2013), and the ANA Award (2014). Antares was also selected to represent Brazil at the World Water Forum in Seoul, South Korea, in 2015, and participated in an international initiative funded by Innovate UK in partnership with the University of Cambridge.

Davi leads what is known as the “world’s largest research initiative on the characterization and study of secondary lead smelting slag for recycling and reuse”, involving over 11 companies in the sector and having published several papers on the subject.

Davi specializes in contaminated site management and safe handling of process residues. He has published articles in journals such as PB Brasil, among others. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade Vale do Rio Doce, in Governador Valadares. Deeply interested in natural resource conservation, Davi has participated in several socially and environmentally oriented projects funded by SENAI and UTFPR. He also has over 10 years of experience in chemical engineering processes for the recovery and recycling of acidic and alkaline effluents.
